  • One-of-a-kind mobile cutter delivers burr-free strut cuts in five seconds or less.

ELYRIA, OHIO – Nov. 11, 2019 – RIDGID® is giving professional contractors a new tool to get jobs done faster and with fabrication-shop quality results. The new RIDGID StrutSlayr Strut Shear Head creates clean, square strut cuts free from chips and burrs with a single pull of the trigger — and in five seconds or less. Plus, it easily attaches to equipment many pros already have in their arsenal: the RIDGID RP 340 Press Tool.

The only mobile dedicated strut tool on the market, StrutSlayr is field-ready and designed for efficient operation. It’s also easy to use with its built-in measuring guide and 13/16-inch, 1-5/8-inch or combo quick-change dies.  It’s also TRISTAND® mountable. With StrutSlayr, contractors get enhanced cut quality and safety — critical benefits on today’s jobsites.

“In the past, when contractors were working with strut in the field, they have either had to make cuts with tools not designed for strut or make additional trips to the fab shop for more cut strut. Either way, pros had to choose between quality cuts or getting the job done quickly,” said Mitch Barton, Director of Marketing for Global Press Connections at RIDGID. “With RIDGID StrutSlayr, contractors get both quality and efficiency. They don’t have to sacrifice a thing.”

The StrutSlayr comes with the RIDGID Full Lifetime Warranty.

  • Wall-to-wall clean with capabilities of simultaneous pipe inspection

ELYRIA, OHIO – February 18, 2020 – RIDGID® is giving plumbers even more cleaning power and diagnostic capabilities in large-scale commercial or residential jobs with the addition of the K9-306 to its line of FlexShaft Drain Cleaning Machines. Designed to clean 3 to 6-inch diameter drain lines up to 125 feet, the K9-306 clears blockages with astonishing speed, while the ability to inspect with a camera simultaneously maximizes efficiency and lets you literally complete two jobs at once.

Purpose-built for the professional, the K9-306 quickly clears grease buildup, roots and heavy scale in larger pipes. It features a professional 1.5 HP internal universal motor for maximum power and longevity; a fully enclosed drum to minimize setup and cleanup time; and a retractable handle with multiple wheels and grab points to make loading, unloading, transporting and storage easy.

“The positive response to our first two RIDGID FlexShaft Drain Cleaning Machines last year was overwhelming, with contractors wanting a similar product to clear wider and longer lines. The RIDGID K9-306 FlexShaft Drain Cleaning Machine is the answer to that request,” said Tim Dunphy, marketing director, Global Underground Technologies, RIDGID. “With the K9-306’s ability to clean wider pipes and reach up to 125 feet, it lets contractors clean larger lines all the way out to the main.”

The K9-306 has the highest capacity of the RIDGID FlexShaft machine models; each utilizes various chain knockers that are spun at high speeds and expand to quickly clear the entire circumference of a pipe for a more thorough and longer lasting wall-to-wall clean. The flexible, fully enclosed nylon-sheathed cable can be easily wiped clean as it is pulled from the line. It also eliminates splatter, cutting down on jobsite cross-contamination.

“Our range of plain and carbide tipped chain knockers for the K9-102 and K9-204 models have proven their worth in the field, and pros have told us how much they value the cleaning power they offer, particularly when getting into grease and scale,” Dunphy said.  “When designing the K9-306, we also continued to innovate and expand our chain knocker lineup, adding a new option featuring a carbide tipped penetrating head. These new chain knockers will be available for all FlexShaft models and will help the pro more efficiently engage and clear tough full line blockages.”

“As municipalities deal with older pipe lines and the tough roots of established vegetation, the K9-306’s ability to power through 3 to 6-inch diameter pipes will be a must-have for contractors today. Alongside the proven performance of our K9-102 and K9-204 models, it’s a great addition to our FlexShaft machine line,” said Wyatt Kilmartin, vice president and general manager, Global Underground Technologies, RIDGID.

FlexShaft machines are backed by the RIDGID Full Lifetime Warranty.

ELYRIA, OHIO – February 21, 2019 – Boost jobsite productivity with the new RIDGID® FlexShaftDrain Cleaning Machines, the latest high-speed drain cleaning innovation from the brand trusted by more professionals.  FlexShaft machines quickly and efficiently deliver wall-to-wall clean in 1 ¼-inch to 4-inch residential and commercial pipes up to 70 feet.

The lightweight and fully-contained FlexShaft machines are used in conjunction with a full suite of specialized accessories designed for clearing grease, sludge, small tree roots and soft blockages with less mess and enhanced speed.

FlexShaft machines utilize powerhouse chain knockers that expand to the size of the pipe to quickly clear the entire circumference. The chain knockers are connected to a flexible, nylon-sheathed cable that is housed in a fully enclosed drum and powered by a cordless drill attached to the driveshaft. The FlexShaft machines are purpose-built to be a lightweight, compact solution that can be easily carried from work vehicle to jobsite with minimal strain on the body.

Designed with efficiency and cleanliness in mind, FlexShaft machines allow for inspection cameras to remain in-pipe throughout the entire drain cleaning process for maximum efficiency.
